We are recruiting a salaried GP (with opportunity for partnership) for Haydock Medical Centre, St Helens. We can accommodate part-time to full-time sessions for the post.

 

The surgery has 15,000 patients and uses EMIS Web. Our purpose-built premises opened in 2017. We offer 15-minute appointments and manage workload with, for example, a duty doctor, backup duty doctor, and protected afternoons for a GP to do home visits

 

The practice is shortly planning to join Modality Partnership - a GP super-partnership with approx 140 partners and 500k patients. There is an exceptional opportunity for progression to partnership if desired.

Haydock MC is a true multidisciplinary team. Our GPs work with 2 ANPs, 3 mental health specialist nurses, a women's health nurse, a family planning nurse, a diabetes specialist nurse, and with network FCPs and pharmacists. 

 

The practice is supportive and positively encourages personal and professional development.

 

We are a longstanding GP training practice, and we train GP trainees, F2s, and medical and other students

 

We have delivered Adult ADHD services for St Helens since April 2020, and Lancashire CCGs since April 2021.

 

We have developed a PCN primary care frailty team, with 2 specialist frailty practitioners, 2 care coordinators, an OT and a pharmacist based in the practice. 

 

Haydock is just off the M6, and is ideally placed for travel from Liverpool, Manchester and surrounding towns, as well as rural Lancashire and Cheshire.
